Living Green

It’s time to rethink how we use the things we need, from the food we eat to the clothes we wear. In a true circular economy, nothing is wasted or thrown away.

We can all reduce our waste and reuse valuable materials so they can have a second life. By keeping materials in use for as long as possible we can have a positive impact on our local environment.

Here are some tips on reusing at home:

  1. Consume less, think about what you buy and how many times you are going to use it.
  2. Consume better, read the labels, know where your products come from and how they have been produced.
  3. Reuse plastic where possible. Most plastics can be reused at home before they are recycled.
  4. Buy second hand clothes, furniture, toys, devices and appliances.
  5. Compost your organic waste at home.
  6. If something breaks, try to fix it before replacing it.
  7. Return packaging that can be reused to a business that you have purchased from so that they can reuse it again.
